Dr. Burrell is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in practice over 15 years. Her clinical training includes work in correctional settings, forensic hospitals, and residential treatment environments. She completed her APA-approved doctoral residency at the Arizona State Hospital.
Burrell Psychological Services provides specialized psychological assessments for adolescents and adults seeking diagnostic clarity and treatment recommendations. Services are available both virtually and in person.
Dr. Evelyn Burrell intentionally accepts only a limited number of evaluations each month to ensure that every client receives individualized attention, thoughtful analysis, and a highly tailored assessment process. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, each evaluation is conducted with care, precision, and attention to the unique experiences, concerns, and goals of the individual being assessed.
With expertise grounded in clinical psychology, trauma-informed practice, and forensic-informed assessment, Burrell Psychological Services prioritizes professionalism, accuracy, and compassionate care throughout the evaluation process.
Dr. Burrell has been recognized for her contributions to psychology through awards honoring her advocacy for the profession, commitment to student development, leadership in advancing diversity and inclusion, and service as an Early Career Psychologist. She has also been recognized as a 40 Under 40 honoree for her professional and community impact. While grateful for these recognitions, Dr. Burrell views them as reflections of collaborative efforts with colleagues, students, and community partners rather than individual accomplishments. She remains committed to using her leadership and advocacy to expand opportunities for others, strengthen the profession of psychology, and improve the systems that serve diverse communities.
Throughout her career, Dr. Burrell has earned the trust of clients, students, colleagues, and organizational partners through her integrity, collaborative leadership, and commitment to evidence-based, culturally responsive practice. She is frequently sought out as a provider, consultant, trainer, and speaker because of her ability to translate psychological science into practical solutions while fostering meaningful relationships across diverse settings. She remains committed to using her leadership and advocacy to expand opportunities for others and improve the systems that serve our communities.
